Bracston Pitt has been identified as the man killed over the weekend in a late-night shooting in Temple Hills, authorities announced on Monday.
At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, officers from the Prince George's County Police Department responded to the 2900 block of Oxon Park Street to investigate reports of shots fired, where they found Pitt suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No details about a possible motive or suspect has been released by the police.
There has been an outpouring of support for Pitt and his family following reports of his death.
"I’m at a loss for words right now," Shaharra Nichole Dudley posted on Facebook. "My heart hurts to get the news that your baby brother Bracston Pitt is gone the pain is unreal.
"We were just talking about you and our childhood last night and now you are gone. Rest in Heaven baby brother I love you and will miss you more than you know."
A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case, officials say.
